How do I Wraparound Existing Debt Service?

Adaje provides three ways to wrap cash flows within the solver configuration.

After selecting the desired amortization method, users can manually input existing cash flows via a table (Add debt service from schedule), add from a shared external debt, or choose from a list of existing Issues (Add debt service from issues), and Adaje will automatically populate existing cash flows for you.

To start, go to the solver configuration for the assignment you would like to wrap around existing debt.

Wrap debt with all three options

From there, you can choose between the three options for wrapping debt service.

Add Debt Service from Issues

Proportional solution with wrap by issues

This option will let you select individual Issues previously created that are set to either a Finalized or Live status.

Add Debt Service from Schedule

Proportional solve with wrap by schedule

This option will let you input existing debt via a table. This can take the place of individual Issues, or it can be used in conjunction to include any additional cashflows that need to be accounted for by the wrapped solution. This applies to each individual Issue. To use the same cashflow schedule across multiple Issues, use the "External Debt" checkbox described below.

Add Debt Service from External Debt

The Add Debt Service from External Debt checkbox allows you to utilize a defined table of debt service that can be shared across several Issues. To start, you need to define your external debt by clicking the External Debt tab in the Instance Quadrant and click the Plus sign to add a new debt service schedule.

Add external debt

From here, you can drop in dates and cashflows to match the existing debt service you want to include.

The walkthrough below will illustrate how to use all three wraparound options.
