How can I create a shared Capitalized Interest Fund?

Using the shared properties tab in the Instance Quadrant, users can create a shared cap-I fund across as many Issues as they'd like.

This article specifically refers to creating a shared Cap-I fund. Click here to learn about adding other shared properties.

To start, navigate to the Shared Properties tab in the Project Instance Quadrant.

New Shared Properties with External Debt

From there, click the Add Shared Property option and choose Cap-I Fund

The shared Cap-I Fund will always ask you which capitalized interest fund you want to target to share across multiple Issues. This will allow you to define how you would like certain Issues to fund capitalized interest in other Issues.

And then you can determine how the funding of the capitalized interest fund will be allocated across Issues. In the case of the image below, we've seleted target issue as Series 2025 Water, but we are allocating the funding of 50% of that capitalized interest fund to the Series 2025 Waste Issue.
